The carpet looks great Lisa, shame about the joints but maybe they can fix them or if the furniture is going to cover them then it will work out ok.
Not long to go at all!

The electricians moved the light point in the garage and terminated the outdoor light outside my meals sliding door as a junction box when it's mean to be a light fitting so they will have to come back and fix that. Also still no sign of a power point in the bathroom OR my glass splashback in the kitchen! 'A bottle of wine contains more philosophy than all the books in the world.' The count down begins good luck Lisa. Thanks Thechlochlo! only 2 sleeps until PCI!!! May daily stalking of my house is at an end! I sure hope my splashback goes in tomorrow! Hels They normally do external lighting at the very end of the build for fear of them getting knocked off. Great news about the bank, full steam ahead now The other outdoor batons were done a few weeks ago - weird. Ahh well it will get fixed I just really hope the bank doesn't screw me around like they have done before My insulation is no longer in my garage so I am hoping that it got installed yesterday, otherwise it's gone walking! Not sure if I will do a check list or not for my PCI or just walk through with my electrical plan and my hair dryer to check everything is right and working and a spirit level. A friend from work who does a lot of home reno type stuff and is very fussy about the finish of his work is going to be coming with me to the PCI, he is going to bring a ladder to check the insulation and his fresh eyes to the house will also be really handy with checking everything. 2 sleeps to PCI, Wow!! Thanks Rowena, I'm worried I will miss something! He wont and he is worried he will point out something that wont get fixed and I will fixate on lol! I told him not to worry, to point everything out! aaron4erin :? what on earth is the hair dryer for? One more sleep to go Lisa!! best of luck with your PCI tomorrow By the way... what are you going to do to amuse yourself once your stalking days are over??? Jodie my stalking days are already over! No point in me heading up there tonight when I will be there tomorrow... although maybe one last stalk to see if my splashback has finally gone in or not As for what to do - well this week it will involve packing instead of stalking! And then I'm going to get back into a good routine of exercising after work instead of driving the 50km round trip! I will enjoy driving to my house and then not having to leave to go 'home' I'm getting excited and nervous about tomorrow! I don't want to miss anything but I don't want to make a fuss but I want it all proper so I am telling myself that tomorrow is the one day that I HAVE to make a fuss 'A bottle of wine contains more philosophy than all the books in the world.' Re: Chateau Lisa - PCI Tomorrow! 1659Sep 21, 2009 12:23 pm Good Luck for tomorrow Lisanne, I am sure it will turn out fine. Having said that I would suggest a checklist for each room, even a basic one, just so you can focus on what your there for, that is checking everything has been done correctly and not just glossing over things while you admire your new home. I know it is easier for me to say that but you have paid a truck load of cash for your home and you need to ensure your getting what you paid for. Well thats how I would feel about it anyway Good Luck and I look forward in hearing the results Blog: http://funmore-residence.blogspot.com/ Forum: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=21109 Construction Start - 19/09/09 Slab Poured - 21/10/09 Frame Completed - 25/11/09 Lockup - 22/12/09 Fixing - 22/02/10 Handover & Moved In 30/04/2010 |
