I was hoping someone wouldn't be saying that... I think its a bit funny that the bank needs all this stuff to process the loan but the builder needs final approval and full finance at final signing to enable the start of the build straight away... how are you supposed to have all of these documents for both the bank and the builders at the same time. Those requirements can be settlement conditions meaning you can have unconditional approval with council approval pending. It really depends on your lender though. How much are you ahead in payments compared to where the build is at?
