It'll depend on a few things - exposed aggregate costs different amounts depending on colour and finish and so on. The area you're in might make a difference too, not sure. Re: Driveway costs 8Sep 10, 2009 1:19 pm Beebob a friend of mine apparently got his driveway done for $75m2 for a stencil driveway hope that helps Yes I think you can expect $50 per square metre for plain and an extra $25 per square metre for stenciling. Re: Driveway costs 9Sep 11, 2009 6:57 am The main cost drivers of a driveway is the required volume of concrete, ease of excavation of driveway and removal of excess soil/rocks etc, colour/finish of concrete and if you have some special requirements like a drop edge beam on the side of driveway. We paid approx $16,000 for 210sqm ( close to 30cubic metres of concrete). It was coloured concrete finish. We chose to surround the perimeter of the house with a pathway and this then included approx 15 metres of a 700mm high drop edge beam along one side of a pathway. This enabled us to claim that as a retaining wall with council which i had budgeted 2-3k for in our planning. It also made it uncomplicated and efficient in terms of activities post our main builder completing his work. I had three concrete contractors to chose from. They were no nonsense and helpful at a time when stress levels were high. Lesson for me was for anyone building in a particular regional location area talk to your prospective concreters and ask him what else he can do to help you meet the DA conditions that may be imposed on you. They are often the guys who come in after the builder has finished his work, they see the work in progress , they understand various builders track record as they often have plenty of material from independent post mortems with people like us. gongbuilding Hi all I need a guidance on how far I need to space expansion joints in the concrete driveway and its type (keyway/foam.) Contraction joints are at 3m max for a 125 slab. Thanks 0 11051 Building Standards; Getting It Right! Hi All, We have a fall from road to garage front.
