How's everything going with the house? I noticed that too so I wondered if there had been some legal issues. I hope Liana can pop in soon with an update. Re: Our Windosr 47 with Porter Davis 89Sep 09, 2009 9:30 pm Hello everyone Thanks for your continued interest in our build. I haven't disappeared altogether. It's been a very busy time for us and everyone involved in this build. Things have been progressing brilliantly and we are SO pleased with how PD have handled the rectification process. Our new supervisor is ... I cannot find words to describe him, other than ... a God-send! Since he came on board, I have been pinching myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming. What a turn-around! From the day he stepped in, we have been gob-smacked at the progress. And his crew of tradies ... I can see why they work for him. In the words of one tradie "He respects us, so we respect him". Bingo! If only we could meet all the staff and contractors that would be working on our build, BEFORE we sign the contract. It's no different to hiring staff or any contractor, whether it’s for work or home. Is it? If we could interview them, assess their skills, qualifications and workmanship and see real examples of their work history and … get reference checks!!! Whooo-ahhhh! Would we hire them? If only!!! So, on a positive note: We are so close to handover now, I can already taste the champagne. I hope you can all understand why I deleted my blog and have not continued to publicise the progress of our build. It has always been our first priority to work with PD to get this build to satisfactory final completion. It has been a long and difficult journey. But isn't that just "life". Cheers Liana Pass the wine and 2 glasses please ... Re: Our Windosr 47 with Porter Davis 93Sep 09, 2009 9:44 pm Congratulations Liana, that is very good news! I'm with Bel, I'd love to see some photos too! I had been following your blog for many months now and was sad to see it deleted, but I can fully appreciate why it was done. You have had a ride and a half...and then some...and I wish you every happiness in your new home. I can't emphasize enough the importance of a wonderful SS. I was blessed with one for the whole of my build, and had a very smooth run. I hope your new one continues to work with you and rectifies all of the issues you had to your complete satisfaction. Congratulations once again, and best wishes! I'll have a drink for you and your family when I open the Bolly this Friday night (still bank depending...) as I celebrate my handover. I hope that the excitement has returned for you and you're looking forward to being in your new home. Getting a new SS who knows how to manage a build makes a huge difference (yeah, who'd have thought? ). Re: Our Windosr 47 with Porter Davis 97Sep 13, 2009 8:44 am What wonderful news that you have found an SS who cares about your house. Hope to see some pics soon Three options 1 Ask the liquidator 2 Find another PD customer and ask the source of their report 3 Pay for new report 3 12854 of course there are legal avenues. You've already mentioned it. Sue them.
