Browse Forums Real Estate Re: How quickly things change.. 6Nov 25, 2007 4:55 pm House prices up here have crashed big time, It's a buyers market for sure.
Pheonix, We had just signed the contracts for the block of land then noticed that one listed in another real estate and thought we'd take a peek just to compare, We never dreamed that we would be able to afford it, that's why we never made an offer! Funny thing fate is..Lucky we were in our 5 day cooling off period! You mentioned about the horses and animals, Their is a little farm with a pretty little house on it selling up here, It comes with a pony, cows, kichen ect and a free range egg business.. Up for Auction EP is $280,00 to $320,000.. Thanks everyone! I love this forum and really don't want to leave.. Guess i'll have to smash some walls in so i have a reason to hang around Couple more pics taken from my mobile.. The shed all the way up the back.. You can't tell but it's 20 by 30 meters! Congrats on a bargain - it always feels much better if you get what you want AND you get a great deal! Ray. Second Time 'Round Re: How quickly things change.. 9Jan 23, 2008 7:46 pm K so, That house fell through! The vendors pulled out in the 3 day cooling off period. We think they got a better offer.. Anyhoo, We are now the proud owners of a 20 year old brick house with a lovely garden and in-ground concrete pool. We're in the process of paining and reno'ing it so here i am back again Re: How quickly things change.. 11Feb 01, 2008 11:47 am Yes, We were disappointed to begin with but i guess it was a blessing in disguise! The way the market is here atm we got a great deal on a good sized house. The layout is perfect for us and it needs updating which is what we're doing. Hopefully we'll make a nice profit like we did on our last place Re: How quickly things change.. 13Feb 01, 2008 12:00 pm I don't know that the market here has anything to do with interest rates. I think it's more people are choosing to build here rather then buy established which is why there is an abundance of established houses sitting on the market stagnant. For a town which is on the smaller side, it has a heap of new estates popping up. To many perhaps. Re: How quickly things change.. 16Feb 01, 2008 3:29 pm Cool - well not always - it can get a bit hot up there this time of year
Have you got your surfboard out - ready for the water comming down the Darling Good to hear you've found a place. Steve Re: How quickly things change.. 17Feb 01, 2008 6:50 pm Weeeeeeeeellllllll, The place we're living in now is called Dareton. My hubby is a detective here. Anyhoo, Dareton is on the NSW side of the border and our water supply comes from the Darling river at Wentworth NSW. Mildura gets it's water from the Murry which is down stream from where the Murry/Darling join. So, Everyone on the NSW will gets their water from the Darling and Mildura side misses out because it's down stream from the Darling. Here in Dareton were on stage 4 water restrictions which were just lifted to allow people to water from 6pm-6am every night. Mildura chucked up a stick about it and now were the same as them, only watering garden beds 2 nights a week for 2 hours. So, It's all very political atm Re: How quickly things change.. 19Feb 02, 2008 7:42 am Hang in there - there is a big flood in western qld heading your way - the darling is flowing and hasn;t done for many years.
I was up at tolarno station a while ago and the miniscule pools of water were in desperate need of a bit of water. It'll be there soon. Steve Re: How quickly things change.. 20Feb 02, 2008 8:24 am FionaL And yes, It is hot! A stark contrast from Newcastle. So Newcastle is where you were previously based? Cool, I'm a Newcastle girl born and bred myself ....... As for being hot ..... I guess if we get hot here we can always hit the beaches and cool down ...... not much of that option where you are now though Fiona i wouldn't be worried, you'll definitely miss something, no matter how many times you review. we've spent close to 5 months ensuring everything got reflected in the… 5 9439 Depends what you're current inclusions are, but we're not including wardrobes and will just use second hand ones until we can save later on to get them built.
