That's massive! Love the big store room upstairs too. I personally prefer a study or work area to have walls and a door but that's to keep all my stuff enclosed away from kiddies. Good luck! Caz & Co ALL MOVED IN!! Now comes all the hard work-decorating.... Would normally agree with you on the work area. The whole length of that wall is going to be a bookcase and around the work nook built in cupboards, draws and storage which will be able to be concealed behind doors. The idea was to utilise the front room instead of it just being a formal lounge that never got used. Re: Seeking feedback on plans 7Sep 04, 2009 6:23 pm what is the size of your laundry chute? You must also be a lot neater than I am (I'm a teacher so I dont want to have kids essays and things laying around - plus I'm messy ) Caz & Co ALL MOVED IN!! The only thing I am concerned about and I personally don't like is the WC being right beside the bath in the kids bathroom. I really don't find that very appealing. Also the way the WC door and the shower door in the ensuite open outwards, that would pi$$ me off. Just my 2cents. Good luck with everything Re: Seeking feedback on plans 12Sep 16, 2009 9:33 pm walker79 Hi Courtenay, Wow, what a great design and lots of terrific features, like your enormous WIR and I love the layout of the kids bedrooms with study space. Just out of interest where would you put the WC in the kids bathroom. Do I take it you would have the doors opening in in the ensuite? Many thanks Re: Seeking feedback on plans 13Sep 16, 2009 9:41 pm Are you planning on having two baths? progress viewtopic.php?f=31&t=20401 sculptures viewtopic.php?f=36&t=26607 pole trouble viewtopic.php?f=3&t=25988 Re: Seeking feedback on plans 14Sep 16, 2009 11:26 pm Great house. Everyone has different ideas of what their pet peeves are. For my money if I had 3 bedrooms sharing a bathroom I'd want a separate toilet. Having lived with only 2 teenagers sharing a bathroom I know it would have been mayhem if the toilet wasn't separate. I suppose they could run downstairs (or into yours) I would take the toilet out of the bathroom. Turn your ensuite one around and have a door so it is accessed from outside then put your toilet where the bath is (unless you really want 2 baths). I hope that makes sense. good luck. I'd love to design a house from scratch. I drive my hubby mad redesigning every house we look at. When we looked at or present house hubby loved it. I didn't. I agreed to buy it if he moved the kitchen to a different room. Block up a doorway and open up a doorway somewhere else. He did. Now I love it (after a few more changes). LOL. |
