Re: Colorbond v's tile 49Aug 30, 2009 9:38 pm Tornado_ALIVE Wind or birds sitting on the ariel. The movement can cause interfearance. I was a bit curious about this too but we are using a really old (25 years+) curly ariel at the moment and with the set top box it works pretty good, I was thinking why would we spend 100's of $$ on a ariel in the new place? Re: Colorbond v's tile 50Sep 03, 2009 1:27 pm My parents have had colorbond for twenty years and would never go to tiles. They have a external digital TV aerial and I don't think we have ever had the problem of a bird aitting on it and we live in country right next to the bush. And about the build up of anything..... look everything needs replacing one day no matter what you get but its been proven that colorbond last longer and is cheaper to replace... and with colorbond you don't have to worry about your tiles blowing away in the winds we have been having But everyone prefers something different. Your house roof does not show rusting other than some surface rust on the flashings. In my opinion you dont need to replace or paint the roof other than treat surface rust… 1 10327 Hi all, Our boundary perimeter fences need replacing (3 sides).
