The roof is colorbond monument, as is the garage door and downpipes. The windows are dowel, dark grey. The front door is timber stained to compliment the gables. We will be sealing the stackstone so that it is a much darker colour too. Probably not exactly what you are after but should give an idea of colours. Good luck! http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff245/rebel_radar/DSCN0952.jpg Re: Please help with brick colour dark bricks and dark roof 4Aug 29, 2009 11:17 am House to be - thanks i have had a look through that link and it gives some ideas, however if there is anyone else with a dark roof and dark bricks please post a pic. I think i should prob just trust myself and my decisions a little bit more, but at the moment i know what i want i just keep second guessing all my decisions and have this terrible feeling that its going to turn out a disaster lol. Fairy Blue - Your house is absolutely gorgeous, i really really wanted double doors but my block was just to small for me to find a plan that will allow me to have them. Your colour choices are lovely. I will save the pic of your house if you dont mind to put in my pile of 'ideas' - 'colours to refer to'! Thanks again, V Re: Please help with brick colour dark bricks and dark roof 5Aug 29, 2009 1:24 pm We used Boral Domino bricks and a night sky colour bond roof. The sides have cladding and we thought we chose a darker colour but it ended up much lighter than we expected. Definitely have plans on darkening it in the future. Our door colour is manor red. The garage and windows are all black. We concreted the drive in black concrete and are madly putting in some greenery at the front. Fi has moved in!! For some reason i have my heart set on a black roof. It will also be tiles as its extra to have colourbond. Cheers, v Re: Please help with brick colour dark bricks and dark roof 8Aug 29, 2009 8:16 pm We are using a brick called Sorbetto, which is a light brick, but you mention the blue aspect, and I have noticed alot of people have teamed this brick with blue render etc. However have you thought about how huge your power bills are going to be with a black roof? Cooling in summer is going to be a nightmare. We are having the sorbetto brick with black window trims, black drainpipes and a manor red front and garage door. Hi, can I please check is this your actual house with the sorbetto bricks and secondly, if how have the sorbetto bricks lasted for you over the years...have they chipped to show orange/red or still holding up nicely? Re: Please help with brick colour dark bricks and dark roof 14Jul 19, 2016 10:15 am Hey Linniez88, We used Sorbetto bricks as well if you wanna check out the pics here: http://becandphilorion.blogspot.com.au/ We've only been in a couple of months so not sure on how hardy the bricks are cos we were a little concerned about it chipping and the red showing but time will tell I guess, fingers crossed it keeps well! Please help with brick colour dark bricks and dark roof 15Jul 19, 2016 9:30 pm We're doing Boral Blackheath bricks, Camelot roof tiles and Viking grey cladding with ironstone gutters and downpipes. We chose a timber-look garage door, timber front door and light window frames to offset the dark. It's only half built so not all the elements are there to show you. I'll see if I can find the mock ups we did. Re: Please help with brick colour dark bricks and dark roof 16Jul 20, 2016 8:14 am Try www.colourtouch.com.au it's a tool where you can select the colours of brick, roof, frames, doors etc to see how it will all look together and uses actual product names so you're not like I want a grey brick when there are many varieties Re: Please help with brick colour dark bricks and dark roof 17Nov 09, 2018 8:10 am red15 We're doing Boral Blackheath bricks, Camelot roof tiles and Viking grey cladding with ironstone gutters and downpipes. Do you have any pics on how it turned out for you and if you had any problems with it so far!? Thanks very much.
