Re: Show Us Your Ugly Bits :) 26Aug 24, 2009 9:53 pm sha umm I kinda like it! lol In a different setting... maybe a kitchen??? When you see the bathroom, the shower walls were also done in it so as soon as you walked in the room it kinda hit you in the face!! I think in a smaller area, maybe as a feature row or something it would be great! 'A bottle of wine contains more philosophy than all the books in the world.' I think a friends parents had it in their house. I know I've been in a bathroom with those tiles. sometime in the late 70's or early 80's maybe. and I remember them because I thought they were so hideous. or perhaps when Dh and I were first house hunting in the early 80's. We HATE it!! It has not been sealed yet, and would have gone much darker and shinier, but we think its just too busy.. DH has now covered it back over with the stormy grey colour, and will put a large (400mm) diamond pattern on it, with a brick-look border. The top coat will now be 'sandstone' with the stormy grey as the grout. (thanks anyway friend Sha this is not too bad, had you put some big black ceramic pots with red foliage plants in them around out there it would have looked ok. It only looks bad cause there’s nothing there at the moment.
