We recently had charcoal coloured through concrete for our backyard. The first section was poured 3 weeks ago. We are still waiting for it to be sealed. We noticed white patches in concrete a few days later. Our concreter told us it was salt and it will be gone after he seals it.
The second batch was poured last Tues. He sealed it last Friday. Not sure if he did 2 coats. He was in and out in 40mins, tops. There were patches of what seems like sealant. The concrete area also looked patchy.
Here are some photos:patchy concrete, this is after sealant
Is this normal?

it kind of looks like the normal concrete drying process, where it goes all patchy while it dries up over a month or two, someone who knows what they are on about can confirm

Oh my, thanks for that, I think he must have sprayed sealant on the bricks as well!
We have concrete splattered on our fly screen doors as well. Does anyone know if it will wash out?

Concrete splatter - A soft broom will get rid of most but the residual will need water
Looks like they spilt some
the colour would normally even out in the near future.

As far as I am aware this seems "normal" for concrete, hopefully it will even out over time!

Can i be the spanner in the works
I think thats as good as your concrete is going to look, Problem with colour ( oxide ) through mixes is that no batch is the same hence why i spend most my time fixing them.
Can believe they got sealer on brick knowing how porus it is they could have protected it before the sprayed. Lazy buggers
Using a wooded block is also good for removing paste, or if your screen is tough place a block behind the screen and tap the opposite side with a hammer to brake bond . Mind you your screens in Aust maybe better than our lol

Another day, the concreter did not show up. He called yesterday to let me know he will be here this morning. Actually believed him as he was the one that called!
Ah well, things can only improve.
