That would be fantastic, but we're not going too get our hopes up. They have been smashed to many times so far.
Let's hope the weather is fine.

My husband spoke with Linda the other week and was advised the Aborignal artifacts that were discovered when they started clearing the for the roads to be laid, hence causing our delays, have all been rectified and signed off by the National Trust and they are now back on track for sub-dividing. As Shane has stated, we have also been notified we are looking at more Dec/Jan for titles and settlement. For those of you who purchased and are due to recieve the $14,000 cheque at settlement (nice sweetner!), are you aware of anything specific that is required on our part to obtain this at settlement or is it just handed over regardless?? Thanks! Kylie. Re: The Avenue at Casey 43Sep 01, 2009 2:09 pm Hi all, Just letting you know we went down to The Avenue and it is all looking pretty good, we got told the same thing about the possibility of titles in December. We did find out that you can now apply for a change of crossover. They have a form you fill in and also there are changes to the design guidelines, which have meant we have had to change our plans again, four weeks out from signing. Crazy!!! Luckily our builders have been awesome. In other news we were wondering why we hadn't got any of this info from our conveyencer and as I found out today she has left the company and neither the company or her let us know. Very professional. We will be leaving this place, as they clearly don't want our business. Re: The Avenue at Casey 44Sep 25, 2009 3:22 pm New everybody!!!
Just spoke to Linda...n guess wat...d titles wil b out only by end of Jan...n y not Dec as earlier mentioned...coz d traffic lights are not yet up... i wonder wen we'll ever get our titles... Re: The Avenue at Casey 45Oct 20, 2009 9:47 pm does anyone have any updates? i drove past on the weekend but didnt stop. looks like they have installed most of the street lighting. i think they have done alot of the footpaths aswell. wondering when they will lay down the asphalt??? Re: The Avenue at Casey 46Oct 29, 2009 10:20 am Spoke to Linda yesterday and the titles are still set for Jan/Feb of 2010 Re: The Avenue at Casey 47Nov 16, 2009 8:14 pm looks like they are starting on the thompsons rd entrance pretty soon. i see they have digital signs along thompsons rd indicating road works near the estate. i drove past on sunday but didnt see too much happening...... Re: The Avenue at Casey 48Nov 19, 2009 1:23 pm Do we have any updates on when the titling will be out? Thanks, Shane. Re: The Avenue at Casey 49Nov 29, 2009 9:27 pm Hi Shane, i drove past on saturday. looks like they have the asphalting done for most of the early stages. i am a little concerend though, the main road into the estate looks way too narrow for a major road. check it out next time you drive past. i thought it was going to have a grand entrance but its looking pretty **** in my opinion. Re: The Avenue at Casey 50Dec 07, 2009 9:28 am Went there on Sunday and I was told that the narrow road is only temporary. They also told me that they didn't get permission to close off thompson road. And that due to this delay the title will be mid feburary. The title date is like a never ending story Re: The Avenue at Casey 51Jan 07, 2010 10:22 am Happy New Year everyone! Went over to The Avenue yesterday arvo and as per the latest update, they are awaiting a response from South-East water, after which our files will be sent to the Titles office. The expectation is for us to receive the Titles by Mid-Feb. If you have updates that differ, please feel free to post. Cheers, Shane. Re: The Avenue at Casey 52Jan 30, 2010 7:43 pm Hi I have just put a deposit on an 'onsell' in this estate. I have been given the end of Feb as the latest date for release of titles, my builder is telling me that usually means it will be another two weeks after that!!! I really cannot imagine how those of you who bought in this estate mid last year must be feeling. Ky Building Santorini 26 with M3tric0n at 'The Avenue at Casey" Re: The Avenue at Casey 54Feb 01, 2010 11:53 am Just got off the phone with Linda. The South East water approval has apparently come through, so the expectation is for our files to go to the Titles office by the latest, the end of this week and we should be expecting to have the titles out in a couple of weeks from next week. So, as they advise, the end of Feb. Re: The Avenue at Casey 55Feb 09, 2010 8:29 pm Does anyone know when the later stages will be titled? We have been given no real set date from the sales office.... I rang the titles office and they have not received the plans for sub-division yet. Not sure where the delays are now? Either at the council or the development? Our builder have been great and locked our price till September. Re: The Avenue at Casey 57Feb 16, 2010 6:04 pm was just logging on to ask the same question....anyone else have any news? i drove past the other night and looks like the intersection will be finished in the next week or so. they have installed the traffic lights and resheeted the main road. just waiting on connection to the estate i guess. Re: The Avenue at Casey 58Feb 17, 2010 9:26 pm Last discussion I had with the office was Feb 4th, Documents were meant to go to Titles Office earlier that week but still had not gone. I was down at the lot on Monday and every nature strip on one side of the street had a deep trench dug out, I don't know if this was for sewerage or not as I didn't get out of the car to investigate. I too am wondering what the hold up is now! Kayjay Building Santorini 26 with M3tric0n at 'The Avenue at Casey" Re: The Avenue at Casey 60Feb 19, 2010 3:22 pm Also building in the estate.
Went down 2 weeks ago and our driveway still wasn't completed and had barrier tape around it. Had a closer look and noticed the two water mains pipes were poking through the ground with taped covers over them. Hope that they aren't going to put a hydrant posts right next to my driveway for me to hit!! Hopefully they will move them down, when the next stage begins. I was told the end of March is when the land will be titled. |
