Re: Heated Towel Rails - how do you use them? 36Aug 23, 2009 8:41 am When I lived in London our apartment had one that was very similar to Jo K's style. I would highly recommend them. When it's freezing cold and you step out of a warm shower into the cold air it is beautiful to have a nice warm, dry towel to dry yourself. You will be grateful you did it! 2fk Re: Heated Towel Rails - how do you use them? 37Aug 23, 2009 1:36 pm I must say I hadn't thought of the heated towel rails for actually drying the towels! I would just want one to be warm for when I get out of the bath or shower. I did give one to my dad for his birthday 2 years ago and I don't think he uses it to DRY the towel either. Cheers all. Re: Heated Towel Rails - how do you use them? 39Aug 30, 2009 3:25 pm I've been thinking of getting these too. Do they get hard wired into the house electrics and have an on/off switch, or can you get ones that plug into a powerpoint? I can't afford to get a sparky in after I move into the house so probably just want one I can plug in. Some people on this forum have hard-wired ones, but the ones I've ordered are plug in ones. Mind you, you have to have a powerpoint where you want to put it, too, so a bit of fore-thought and planning still required from an electrical point of view!!
