Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Aug 08, 2009 8:26 pm We're in the middle of the rough in stage and there has been a roughly 12mm metal pipe, its coated in plastic, and its running from where the oven might be out to the side of the house, just wondering what it might be? We are having a gas oven and cooktop, so maybe its going to be like a gas vent pipe or something? I thought it might have been related to hot water but the plumbing has now been done and the hot water is about 3 metres away from it. Any idea's?? Runs plastic all through the roof space then the copper is exposed once it's in the kitchen. Same for our gas line running to the fireplace. It's enclosed in a yellow enclosure. Probably for added safety inside roof spaces. We are having bottled also as there is no underground gas at Spring.
