Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Aug 02, 2009 9:24 pm I am currently in the stages of finalising colour selections for our bathrooms. We have selected a matte charcoal tile for the floors (300x300) and are considering having the same tile for the shower wall. Would this look strange? Does anyone have any other suggestions for other colours I could use for the shower walls? Also, I havent seen any pictures of charcoal colour schemes for bathrooms, if anyone out there has any pics they would like to share, please post them! Thanks all Re: Bathroom Tile Colour Suggestion Please! 2Aug 02, 2009 10:44 pm hey aly88 - do you have a pic of the tile? and your laiminates? 2014 - Prepping to build the Soho 4 with Plantation homes, industrial style 2009 - Built the Brampton with Coral Homes viewtopic.php?f=31&t=15399&start=280 Re: Bathroom Tile Colour Suggestion Please! 3Aug 02, 2009 10:45 pm have a look at this thread by charlie. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=20570&start=20 We are having charcoal floor tiles too, and I'm deciding how much colour I want to put into the walls. Do you have a pic of your floor tile? Love Kristi Living the dream. 4 horsey acres in the country. What's the next project??? Re: Bathroom Tile Colour Suggestion Please! 4Aug 03, 2009 12:07 am We are doing a charcoal and white bathroom. Some pictures I used for inspiration are here: http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?p=253850#p253850 We are having charcoal tile floors, then one whole wall is the same colour tile as the floor, the other three walls will be white. Cupboards will be white and the bench tops charcoal. *fingers crossed* it will look good. Re: Bathroom Tile Colour Suggestion Please! 5Aug 03, 2009 6:59 pm Our benchtop laminate will be Laminex Diamondgloss in Polar White, our vanity doors etc also in Polar White (not Diamondgloss). The tiles we are using for the foor look like the Luxe Anthracite that others have posted about (300x300), just wondering if this would look weird also being on the walls? I entertained the idea of having white shower walls, but think it always looks strange. Re: Bathroom Tile Colour Suggestion Please! 6Aug 03, 2009 10:35 pm hey aly - i think it could definitely work if you use polar white for the cabinets and benchtops - using the grey for the wall tile as well as the floor will help "balance" the whiteness of the cabinets... then you could accesorise with charcoal towels and a white vase with some of those pretty fake flowers/branchy things you are having dulux white duck for your paint aren't you? quarter or half? 2014 - Prepping to build the Soho 4 with Plantation homes, industrial style 2009 - Built the Brampton with Coral Homes viewtopic.php?f=31&t=15399&start=280 Re: Bathroom Tile Colour Suggestion Please! 7Aug 04, 2009 8:35 pm Hey Jess09 Yes we are going for white duck quarter, which hopefully should work with this colour scheme. I really like the dark showers, I think they look very luxurious and as long as I brighten it up with accessories, I think it should work. I'm just second-guessing my choices I think Re: Bathroom Tile Colour Suggestion Please! 8Aug 04, 2009 10:39 pm i think it will look lovely i think you've done a great job of embracing the "grey" theme i tried at first but then realized all the laminates i liked weren't actually grey 2014 - Prepping to build the Soho 4 with Plantation homes, industrial style 2009 - Built the Brampton with Coral Homes viewtopic.php?f=31&t=15399&start=280 Re: Bathroom Tile Colour Suggestion Please! 9Aug 05, 2009 1:25 pm We commonly use the same floor colour on the wall. I prefer channging the size though. So if we have a 300x300 floor I would source a tile with either a panel tile or feature tile laid on the wall. So it doest look like a floor tile on the wall. Ill try to add a picture where you see I have used the same colour but changed the size and layout of the tile.
