I made sure my fridge space was big enough for one of these fridges.. so I made it 1000mm wide (980mm wide with architrave). It is 690mm deep.. so I thought all good.. but I didn't think about the height!! because of the overhead cupboards the height is only 1748mm... There is a big gap behind the cupboards so airflow wouldn't be a problem but most look like like are 30mm or so higher then this!! Does anyone know a fridge with icemaker/water that could fit this? (side by side). WBA, I think this is the fridge we were looking at when planning our kitchen, we still haven't bought ours yet & looks like the newer models are taller now.. 640L Westinghouse Side by Side Fridge RS643VSS - 1723mm (not sure how much clearance you are supposed to have ) Looks like there are still some of these around - on sale as they are clearance models Re: Review - Samsung Fridge SRS702GDHSS 39Aug 01, 2009 10:02 pm mattwalker Annietom hi matt did you consider this LG model?? http://www.theelectricdiscounter.com.au ... 3EWRFR3000 How much did you pay at HN? delivery fee??? ALSO, there is a new (I think) LG model which is exactly the same as yours but instead it has the two top doors opening up like a "french" set and then there is a pull out drawer (freezer) below. So the whole top is wide open for fridge, did you consider that one? I know it's pricey (I think $4,500)... Annie We did! I am a 'non' fan of the drawers for the freezer and I think the new model also has only chilled water ... it is the ice I like as well The LG model you have suggested is good but when put side by side with the samsung is a bit smaller. Other smaller things are like the fold down part in the fridge is a nice solid smooth motion on the samsung with a catch that lowers it down slowly as opposed to the LG that has a loose fit on the door and the flap just drops down with no slowing mechanism. The doors on the Samsung also have 2 features that I really like. 1 the doors have a self closing mechanism (great for the kids) and 2 they also lock in place when they are opened which is handy for loading in groceries etc. It is small things like this that made the difference for me! The fridge was a bit under $2400 plus delivery. thanks matt, I had no idea you'd posted this reply, I thought you'd ignored my query and I thought to myself, what a rude little man! haha, you can imagine my joy to see you did reply to me! and your comments are really interesting, there is no doubt I will be going for your model, I agree the little things matter, and unless someone who owns one fills you in the "little things" you find out too late! cheers Matt A thankful person is a happy person. Just wondering how deep your cavity is? and how far from the back of the cavity does the fridge sit (because of water tap etc) Our cavity is only 600mm, plus the fridge can't go to the back of the cavity because of the water tap, so just wondering how it will look sticking out about 150-200mm Ta No beer required! Our cavity is 700 deep front to back and our tap was drawn as being at the back of the cavity but I changed the power point and the tap to the side in anticipation of the fridge being this deep....turned out to be a good move. The depth of the cabinet is 600mm deep so this would still look OK but pst that you will start to see the cabinet (darkish grey!) and that may start to look a little ugly... Is it too late to move the power and water points? i thought the flipped plan initially but bec i want narrow pathway from entry to dining (dont like bend), also cannot fit the… 7 17286 It is true that a builder can ignore your independent inspection report as it is not part of the contractual arrangement but that is stupid because he cannot avoid fixing… 9 46871 The worst thing you can do is sign a building contract without a pre contract review.
