Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 29, 2009 3:36 pm Hi! I also thought Id start my own page as we will be signing our contracts on Wednesday! We are building with New Generation Homes. Hopefully prestart will be in a couple of weeks! The only prob so far is site costs!! they have included soakwells and as we are building on a retaining limestone wall we have to pay shaffolding costs! so our quote of $7500 is now $12500! Re: Building the Pegasus in Bletchley Pk, Lisa and Shauns Home 3Jun 29, 2009 5:36 pm Shame about the increase of costing.. what a pain. Colour selections look great.. Is that a bar near the living room.. if so i am so jealous.. house looks great Home Group WA Monte Carlo Timeline on Page 1 Re: Building the Pegasus in Bletchley Pk, Lisa and Shauns Home 4Jun 29, 2009 8:19 pm yes we would rather a bar than an activity room! ill probably regret it later, but good for entertaining! we are going to get a pool table to. Im prob going to change bathroom floor colour to a plain tile. the textured one looks like it has soap scrum on it!! the only other problem i can see in the contract is that i requested a glass rangehood canopy which isnt listed!! my SC said he would include it for me, hope he hasnt forgotten! Some of them can stain badly and look really ugly when they're wet Re: Building the Pegasus in Bletchley Pk, Lisa and Shauns Home 9Jul 02, 2009 12:46 am signed contracts today!! I know the girl you have. Hopefully she will send the info off to the bank when she's supposed to, sometimes they "forget" and try to make it out like they only got the letter after construction has started.. which is when I send the info off. But other than that, I dunno how good she is, tho she has been there a pretty long time, so hopefully knows what she's doing The colour picking part goes for like 3 hours, and the electrical one is about 2ish hours.. that's how much time they allocate, I thought I was ready and knew all the things I wanted, but it still turned out to be bout 3 hours I was in for.. so I say most ppl would be the same. I'm still waiting on my building licence.. Built with New Generation (Summit Homes) We own land!... with a slab on it! Plus a shell of a house with stuff inside ! Re: Building the Pegasus in Bletchley Pk, Lisa and Shauns Home 20Aug 14, 2009 3:12 pm Prestart over!! well the main bit, have to do electrics next week! glad it was split into 2 days though! took less than 2 hours, not sure how much we are up for as the costings will be sent out to us next week! We did up grade a few taps/door handles but not many changes. We get to have a different colour fascia to gutters so im happy (no charge!) the only thing im considering is, i wanted a 'cedar' wood gargage door, but thats $600 extra! so trying to decide, most likely to just have a colourbond one (ironstone) to match roof and front door. So glad thats over, but will probably be another 6-8 weeks at least before we see signs of a slab! oh well.
