Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Nov 04, 2007 4:46 pm We have had our slab put down. We measured the slab and everything looked pretty good. I signed off on next payment and they started the frame. When that got put down i noticed that my garage floor (which is lower than the rest of the house) as gone into the next room which is the bedroom. I now have lower piece of slab at one end of the bedroom.
Is this going to cause problems or will the builder lay concrete on top to even out the bedroom? Re: Slab issue 2Nov 04, 2007 7:24 pm hi robert,
we had a couple of places where the concrete was not cut away where it was supposed to be and one place where it was unnecessarily cut out. our concreters came back to chip away at the areas that were raised that didn't need to be and the bricks covered up the area that wasn't raised and should have been. in the case of a brick veneer house, can the frame just accommodate and cover up the differences between heights of the concrete? cheers Helen Hi, I'm after a bit of advice; we have just had a 61sqm exposed aggregate slab installed by a concreter which runs from our house in Frankston, Victoria to within 200mm of… 0 4653 The two 15mm holes are obviously not compliant.
