I had one question, if you bring your partner to the PCI - and their name isn't on the contract. Is she allowed to walk through the house with me during the PCI? My partner came with me to attend the PCI (Two sets of eyes is better than 1 as they say) but the Site supervisor and Construction Manager said no, only the person who's name appears on the contract is allowed to walk through the PCI. I had read on the forum that things like this did happen previously. But i thought that it would be fine.. i couldn't see anywhere on the contract which stipulates that the only person who can walk through the PCI is the person who's name is on the contract! I Initially wanted to get Kevin from NHI to do the PCI for me, however Sim*nds was so pushy they wanted it done that week (only giving 4 days notice i might add) that Kevin was booked out and couldn't make it, hence i had to do it myself. The good thing is (or so we thought) that we got in writing from Sim*nds that they would allow Kevin to do his report a week after the PCI and the findings would be included in the PCI. But now (even though we have it in writing) Sim*nds are disputing the fact that they will consider and act upon the findings from Kevin. *sigh*... Thanks for the advice, i'll give the Building Commission a call and see what the ruling is! Bunky! The garage floor has been discoloured by paint and there’s a considerable amount of spilt (chunky in areas) paint on the floor in the media room. We have silicone/brown stuff on our beautiful light bricks outside the kitchen window. We aren't having flooring in 2 rooms and they've covered them in paint. Our rear patio has what looks to be concrete and grout spilt all over it and again we are having plain concrete. If things go pear shaped it may cost you a lot more, perhaps crippling your investment. Sure you got Roscon list that will help you pick up a lot of fleas but you may miss elephants.
