Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Here we GO! MegsyG's new house! OMFG! Kitchen is IN!!!! 21Jul 09, 2009 10:33 pm Okay so I updated a few hours ago, super excited that it all seems to be coming together blah, blah. DH comes home TONIGHT to tell me that the brickies are finished, the plaster has all been sanded ready for painting and "oh yeah...kitchen, laundry, ensuite and bathroom cabinetry are all in" !!!! Holy crap that was fast! But half of them aren't quite right *The ensuite has been done in ALL Asian night, and should have a designer white bench with Asian night cabinetry. *The kitchen has an Asian night island and the wall base cupboards and overheads were to be in designer white, but are designer white up the top and asian night base cupboards. DH says it doesn't look too bad, I might like it actually. I'm hoping to get a look this weekend OMG I'm so excited...painting is next!!!! We had a quick inspection yesterday in the torrential downpour, everything is looking good! All they have left to do for lock up is the timber instep in the portico. All the doors have been hung, architraves and skirts to be done today and the rest of the week I'll probably get a lock up and fixing invoice at the same time though Had a big think while I was there about the ensuite and kitchen and concluded they didn't look too bad at all. So we've decided to keep the kitchen and ensuite the way they are, almost the same as the display now. Bum! Can't post photos- photobucket is down at the minute- will do later So we are looking at 6 weeks or so till the end!! Can't come soon enough I tell you!! Green Bricks!!! 26Aug 05, 2009 1:19 pm No problems seeking solutions Happy to help! Am a bit peeved that practically NOTHING but the benchtops has been done since the last update 14/7! STILL waiting on the plasterer to come back and finish the cornice so the painter can start and then the tiler. Something that has been done is the brick wash Oooh pretty! BUT we are proud owners of a few GREEN bricks. Hopefully this can be fixed asap and properly as they are on the front facade Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I certainly hope I can update with better news soon!
