She, who knows all about everything, said they'd grow but not produce fruit and cited some information she'd read or seen. Only seedlings from "proper" plant stock would work. Googling the issue suggests capsicum does grow quite well from "common" seed. Indeed apparently "wet seed" works best and all one needs to do is squash an old capsicum in the garden and ... voila! Is this yet another win for me? thanks for that tip Paul Sharon..... frustrated interior decorator, I have always wanted to do this for a living.. Re: Capsicum From Kitchen Table Seed? 3Jul 06, 2009 6:50 pm Years ago my daughter collected seeds from a red capsicum and after they had dried she planted them. Re: Capsicum From Kitchen Table Seed? 4Jul 06, 2009 8:20 pm Perhaps Paul, it could be said that she who knows everything may be trying to say that, seed from fruit could be somewhat unreliable as far as germination and fruit production goes? This I guess, Paul, could also be possibly said for other inhabitants of this earth, one of which comes instantly to mind www.themaxbuild.blogspot.com forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=20717&start=300 www.leahspaperpassion.blogspot.com Re: Capsicum From Kitchen Table Seed? 5Jul 07, 2009 2:08 pm We shouldn't speak ill of the dead, Themax, not quite sure why but ... there you go. Yes, Michael Jackson had his foibles. I'm hot for capsicum this summer as no doubt are the fruit flies. I'm gunna grow the biggest and the best capsicum ever growed! Like how many permanent vegetables are there? Sweet potatoes are also high on the agenda. God I hate winter! Re: Capsicum From Kitchen Table Seed? 6Jul 07, 2009 2:31 pm Sorry Paul.
