The place is looking amazing!! You must be so pleased with everything!!! I hear you about the build not being a nightmare - I think I would go crazy if it was!! We're on the home stretch now...... Building our dream home - H3nley Ascot 384 Painting done - electrical, alarm and tiling being completed!! viewtopic.php?f=31&t=17939 Re: The Story of Stormy's Castle.**RENDERED!!!** 953Jul 04, 2009 3:01 pm Cheers Macca! Home stretch, yes, but the most important part, and probably the most stressful! If the finishing touches and colours aren't perfect then I think I'll finally crack and fall to pieces!! Anyway, It's been a week since I have been to the house (been away), and Hubby hasn't either as it's dark when he gets home! We were very surprised to see the portico rendered...and in the wettest week Melbourne has seen for some time! Good to see it done, but not sure when it happened! I'll have to ask my CSA or SS! I also got a call from my SS yesterday wondering if I had 'collected' any spare bricks from the site prior to site clean...yes, I have about 40 sitting here! As it turns out, the alfresco is short a course (about 8 bricks), so the cornice cannot be finished out there yet. I happily dropped 8 bricks off for them today, and noticed (how could I not...) the render!!! There is one in the garage too, but a tile still needs replacing after the flashing was installed: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Here is our lovely pool! Anyone fancy a swim? What colour will the render be? (sorry, I 've forgotten!!! ) When the SS called to see if you had any bricks, did you not feel like saying "Well, I would have had plenty, if they'd left them for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!! " ??? Love the pool, lap pool and adjoining spa - they say mudbaths are excellent for the complexion!!! " ??? I was just thinking this too! then you could have added "since I don't have any, you'll have to order another pallet, and this time you can keep good on your word and leave the leftover 2992 bricks here for me!" It will have a wall light above the landing half way down, and that's about it! Any suggestions?? dearie me no, no ideas from me, I have enough trouble decorating my own house will you also have a pendant light fitting above staircase though? That would probably be enough. Unless you put a nice wallpaper on it or something. "Your emotions are the slaves to your thoughts, and you are the slave to your emotions." — Elizabeth Gilbert Living in our new house.
