Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Jun 03, 2009 4:23 pm Hi Michelle, Sorry to bother you again, but just have a quick question regarding the decorating style in the attached image... http://www.beaconshop.com.au/components ... ss08_8.jpg Is there some (unknown to me) decorating reason why the bottoms of the two lower mirrors are behind the back of the couch? I have 4 mirrors I would like to hang like this above my couch (mine are a little different, square with silver frames, but hope to acheive similar effect). However, I was going to hang them all above the couch, unless there is a good reason for putting them the way they are in the picture. Sorry for asking a silly question , but I am really new to this decorating thing. Does anyone else have an opinion too? Any help gratefully appreciated, MagicJ MagicJ I finally have my own reno thread: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=28335 The reason a dog has so many friends is that he wags his tail instead of his tongue! Re: Quick decorating question for Michelle 2Jun 03, 2009 4:37 pm Dare I answer ok, I am thinking maybe they wanted to get the reflection of the back of the lounge, it is rather ornate, but I don't think it's necessary and I probably would not do it myself. Re: Quick decorating question for Michelle 3Jun 03, 2009 4:54 pm Especially not with my couch - it's nice, but in no way could be called ornate!!! Thanks for answering, SuH, appreciate it! Re: Quick decorating question for Michelle 5Jun 05, 2009 8:44 pm No reason for this, I’d say it was for the photo only. In fact, this is quite dangerous, if the lounge gets pushed back onto the mirrors some how, they could break. I would never suggest this sort of thing as a decorating style in a home or commercial environment! Hang the mirrors above head height while sitting on the lounge. Hope they look good on the new Milton Moon feature wall you recommended (have ordered paint, but haven't got it yet!!)
