Re: What do you think will be 'so 5 minutes ago' soon? 6May 28, 2009 5:38 pm I love our Home Theatre, nothing better than jumping on the HUGE couch we have in there and closing the door. Friends refer to it as "Hoyts" all we need now is a slurpee and popcorn machine and we are set To be honest, I don't even think that far ahead of things 'dating' or for 're-sale' We picked what we liked at the time and will enjoy it while it lasts oh and we have 1 (not chunky though just 40mm), 3, 4 and 5! Don't have any stackstone but we are thinking of putting it on a wall next to the pool and also have 6 in the 2nd lot. We did the Antique White USA on our last house Happy at Home Re: What do you think will be 'so 5 minutes ago' soon? 7May 28, 2009 5:41 pm rubber_noggin ::angry:: STOP..... where are the cliche police? I reckon you are so 5 mins ago. [sneakersss] Re: What do you think will be 'so 5 minutes ago' soon? 8May 28, 2009 5:45 pm In answer to your question.. probably EVERYTHING i've chosen for my new house. I've gone against the grain with a few things.. like the tiling strip in the bathroom, instead i chose to put pebbles in the bathroom 'niche'. I chose not to have any cut outs or niche's put in anywhere else.. as I want to be able to move things around. As for the pendant lights, we'll be getting dedicated lights over the island bench.. but they won't be pendants. I love the stacked stone look.. but now that it's more common, i'm liking it a little less. I didn't really want a freestanding cooker.. but it's what came with the house. I think maybe those long horizontal windows may because so 5 minutes ago?.. even though i have one.. But I chose everything becauase it's what i want now.. and that's all thats really important. Sorry if it was a genuine post, rubber noggin, and if you are a newbie, you may not think it was a problem, but I think this sort of topic is best left alone. And if your'e not careful I'll post pics of my little dog again Re: What do you think will be 'so 5 minutes ago' soon? 11May 28, 2009 6:51 pm Its pretty obvious that this thread is not genuine! Re: What do you think will be 'so 5 minutes ago' soon? 15May 28, 2009 8:52 pm fake woodgrain stuff. i can't believe it actually came back after the last lot was almost removed completely from the face of the earth. anything from ikea. wallpaper, again, can't believe it came back. i often see one i think i like, but i just wouldn't do it, because i know it would date too quickly, just like dark coloured feature walls, they must be hell to try and paint over. fortunately for me i have a 100 year old house, so my dated stuff looks awesome and always will if i keep myself away from ikea. Re: What do you think will be 'so 5 minutes ago' soon? 16May 28, 2009 9:02 pm sounds like rubber noggin is putting out some bait... but home theatre's I don't think will ever be "so 5 mins ago".. they will only increase, in the time I can see... plus my can be turned into a study or 4th bedroom for resale as it is a mini-home theatre.. but in the end, just build what you want.. Truly, I *can* understand why some people get a bit prickly if someone says "I don't like your choices" but in some of these replies it appears to have been misunderstood as some sort of personal attack or criticism of personal taste and preference. But personal taste is just that -- personal and therefore highly *subjective*. Recognising that, do we all have to "ooooh and ahhhh" like sycophants at everyone's choices? Or if we don't happen to like something we're just supposed to stay silent? Fashion comes and goes and sure enough, what's "in" now -- will be "out" one day; consider the burnt orange and lime green kitchens of the 70's as just one example! That being said...why so sensitive about one person's list? Surely we're all a bit tougher than some of the posts would lead me to believe?
