It's just what we are wanting to do at our place. How did you do the planter boxes? That is, did you build them out of timer? If timber did you line them with anything before filling with soil? What about the frame for the wall, anything special for that? Thanks heaps Re: Photos of timber decking needed!!! 16Aug 18, 2009 4:59 pm Damonc - husband built the wall out of blueboard, on a treated pine frame. Built the raised bed/seating out of treated pine sleepers, covered them in merbu, lined the beds with black plastic (put lots of drainage holes in the bottom), filled the very bottom with polystyrene pieces we helped ourselves to from a hopper out the back of a homemaker centre (ahem, gross I know, but made the bed lighter in weight, and cheaper to fill) and then with quality dirt and the top 20cm is the $13 a bag dirt (hence happy plants, well... apart from 1 that is decidedly brownish)... and Bobs our uncle. Actually he's not, his name is Barry. I have lots of step by step photos somewhere that I can post if you like. Start to finish. Here's another pic of it. The kanga paws are just starting their 1st flower. Yeah!!! http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t315/DaisySparkle/deck-1.jpg Re: Photos of timber decking needed!!! 17Aug 18, 2009 5:56 pm Thanks for the info. That's very helpful. I'd love to see some progress shots of the construction, but only if it's not too much trouble. I think I can see lights in the garden bed, is that correct? Did you run ultra-low voltage for those or is it regular mains power? cheers damon Re: Photos of timber decking needed!!! 18Aug 21, 2009 1:35 pm DaisySparkle18 Damonc - husband built the wall out of blueboard, on a treated pine frame.
