I don't fully understand how it all works. I do have the cabling entry guide from OptiComm and I have asked at Carlisle to speak to someone who knows about the the process involved smart wiring the house through them. So once I speak to them I can forward them on the Cabling entry guide. Cheers! Re: Fibre optic connection in Alamanda 17May 19, 2009 2:39 pm pcan Thanks for that info. I really appreciate it. Telstra has a huge document on wiring and I assume it would be the same. http://www.telstra.com.au/smartcommunit ... y_0509.pdf disclaimer: I'm a Telstra employee. Re: Fibre optic connection in Alamanda 18May 19, 2009 3:03 pm wakeboardandy Telstra has a huge document on wiring and I assume it would be the same. Alamanda is an Opticomm-serviced estate, so the Telstra documentation may be confusing. It would be better to refer to the Opticomm Cable Entry Guide as the authourative source. Re: Fibre optic connection in Alamanda 20May 19, 2009 7:19 pm I am also building with Carlisle in Alamanda. I think there will be Carlisle houses everywhere!!! lol I have had a few problems trying to get information from Carlisle about the optical fibre wiring. The CLE, tender person, colour people and any other person I have spoken to there doesn't know what to do with the cabling. They just referred me to Argus Technologies. I have spoken to Argus and recieved a quote. The quote I was given was for the bigger package and they took off a few points that we didn't require (we won't be needing 10 phone points!!) My CLE commented that it might be possible to get the cabling done through Opticomm instead of Argus. Opticomm must be allowed on site to install the termination box (usually in the garage I think). They also have the right insurance, which I think is the main reason Carlisle don't allow others on site. I am going to get a quote from both to get the best price Building Monaco32 with Carlisle Homes in Alamanda Estate 20/08/2010 - HANDOVER 24/8!!
