I've pulled the carpets out and will be installing laminate flooring. Should I be concerned with little chips in the concrete?
Removing nails around the edges of the rooms have left chips up to 3cm in diameter and less than 5mm depth. I'm thinking these are nothing and the underlay will compensate for it. There are bigger ones though that were not caused by me. These ones are at random places in the rooms and up to 7cm in diameter and 2cm depth.
Next thing I've noticed are some dips. I've noticed these around the edges only because the skirtings are straight, so it's easy to see where the slab isn't level. Would the underlay be enough to compensate too? or will I have to go the self leveling compound route?
Thanks
