I'm sorry DeeElle, you did say this on my own thread, silly me. I did a quick effectiv search on the ikea but didn't spot anything that appealed after i read your comment.. my how much different things look when they are actually set up and you can see them how they will be used. Haha. They are very very nice.. I really should go for a trip to ikea soon. Building with PD - Regent 23 Cascades on Clyde Estate HomeOne Building Thread - PCI Completed - 28th August. Today we have the surround sound guy here connecting everything and putting it together. He just let us know we'll need a tv cabinet as well as the wiring can't go under the stairs as planned. On the weekend it was changing door furniture (don't ask ) and putting together the study. Tomorrow its a landscape dude to finish off the front stepping stones. It never ends Re: A few final touches 17May 14, 2009 9:54 pm DeeElle craftytess hi DL, where did you buy the tord boontje? thanks, craftytess thanks all . Tord boontje ... from ebay. You have to put it together yourself which I found impossible because it tangles so easily. So I decided to glue the midsummer night material around the lampshade instead. I'm not convinced its ideal but I didn't want to waste the fabric. Just had a look at Tord Boontje on ebay, whoooeee they aren't cheap are they? I am going to have a go at making my own version, using vellum and a cuttlebug machine. Only cost me $10 in materials to have a go and I borrowed the flower, butterfly, leaves die cutters off a friend. I have the machine but not many dies. Love your office...!! I have grand plans for ours, but I think it'll be a few years before we can justify throwing any money at it, too many other things to finish first. Re: A few final touches 18May 15, 2009 8:16 pm Dragonfly If you want some of my left over Tord Boontje material I am happy to send it to you. Let me know how much you want for the shade. I purchased it from the US so didn't pay the AUD price. Even so it wasn't cheap but I'm happy to share. Oh what a lovely offer, thankyou, but you should keep it, i'm sure you'll find a use for it on another project down the track. I'm a bit of a "make it myself" chick, anything I see that I like, I like to have a crack at it myself. It won't be quite like the Boontje one, more my own interpretation. Could be interesting! It's for my two year old's room, it's getting a coat of paint next weekend. Thanks Re: A few final touches 20May 16, 2009 12:13 pm no probs. I would imagine a good pair of scissors, some imagination and some skills in craft would do the job. The Boontje is only made of paper (although they say you can wash it ). Good luck ... love to see if when you are finished. i would suggest nothing is unreasonable for PCI. we did all sorts, including checking the hot water, checking all the GPO's had power, testing that the showers were… 9 98548 Hi, I am approaching end of the build.
