Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation Re: Brivis Wombat 26 ducted heating 9May 03, 2009 8:55 pm Sorry I got the brand of the upgrade wrong, its actually Braemar, its the TH320, plus going from 8 outlets to 11, and adding one zone. What do you reckon Brad75? ICK So glad the building is over, never again. Loooove our house, but still not quite sure it was worth all of the stress they put us through! Re: Brivis Wombat 26 ducted heating 10May 04, 2009 5:05 pm Better brand mate but the TH320 i would only do bout 8 outlets as it's a 18kW heater and if your going a zone your better off with the 4 star TH425 23kw the reason to go 4 star one is you dont save on running cost with the 3 star you just close the zoned area and pump out extra air to the other area if you go 4 star you cut back fan spped and gas consumption when using the zoning hope this helps Re: Brivis Wombat 26 ducted heating 12May 04, 2009 7:28 pm Oh man I stuffed up!!!! I got the model number wrong! Its a TH430, not TH320. Sorry mate!! ICK So glad the building is over, never again. Loooove our house, but still not quite sure it was worth all of the stress they put us through! Re: Brivis Wombat 26 ducted heating 14May 29, 2009 2:15 pm Hi ICK How has your experience been so far with Profine. I was steering towards Simonds, but someone this morning referred me to them. How are they priced, and what do you think of the customer service? Thanks for your help ICK Hi all, I'm digging this topic up as I never really came to an outcome as to what to do. I've spoken to a few people in the industry and they've pretty much said that the 26 Wombat is cr@p and basically only out there as a cheap solution for a builder. Pretty much most people have mirrored what Brad75 said earlier, I've been recommended the ME30i. Our builder has quoted us $1,135 for the upgrade including zoning. Does this sound about right? What have others been quoted for a similar upgrade? Our budget is ridiculously tight but I'd rather get it right from the start so and not pay for it down the track in utility bills. Re: Brivis Wombat 26 ducted heating 15May 30, 2009 6:22 pm Mate they are BRILLIANT!! To build with them is by far the best decision I have ever made in my life. Heaps of people on here can probably vouch for me and my 'I love my builder because they looked after us by doing xxx' comments - as annoying as they probably are. We got to contract stage with S1monds then left after sooo many issues I don't wanna go there... but anyway, Profine couldn't be better. Honestly, nothing is too difficult for them they will go out of their way to help you, they have given us so much time, extras, we've completely customised our plan. They actually care about their clients, well that was their pitch to me when they started and we were very cynical after our major builders experience. But they have completely exceeded all of our expectations and made our build enjoyable - something it definitely wasn't when we were with S1monds. Everyone including all our tradies etc I've spoken to have sung their praises. Anyway, just so you know, I am only building with them and get nothing out of praising them, I just want to give them credit as credit is definitely due for these guys. By the way, we'll get a free letterbox if you mention our name and sign up with them so if you could do that..... hahahahahaha just kidding ICK So glad the building is over, never again. Loooove our house, but still not quite sure it was worth all of the stress they put us through! Re: Brivis Wombat 26 ducted heating 16May 30, 2009 6:31 pm Maniradha10 Hi ICK How has your experience been so far with Profine. I was steering towards Simonds, but someone this morning referred me to them. How are they priced, and what do you think of the customer service? Thanks for your help Ooops, in my rant I forgot to answer your question, customer service, amazing, they've won an award last year which they were so proud of as they beat the major builders at it We are pretty difficult customers as we want it just our way and they've been really great and looked after us. Pricing, well we made our decision to look at Profine after we saw them in the Display Homes mag. As we went through the mag, we noticed the starting and the 'as displayed' prices for all builders, and Profine caught our eye with their prices as they were so close together. Main reason is that their base price is including carpet & tiles I think. All up, we've got a custom design - they have a drafty working for them (loosely based on their Woodland 07 out in Pakenham) - with all the bells and whistles for $210k (incl site cost). Just over 23.5 squares of living & 30.65 squares all up. ICK So glad the building is over, never again. Loooove our house, but still not quite sure it was worth all of the stress they put us through! Re: Brivis Wombat 26 ducted heating 17Jun 01, 2009 9:31 am Thanks for a detailed repsonse ICK.. I went to Profine on Saturday, but the guy there was new so did not know much and N was off sick. However, I am ex pecte their call today and then meet to discuss the final price. Which house are you building? I liked the Metro but then again need a few changes in there and need a quote for fencing driveway etc as well. Will need to upgrade the quality for a few things including appliances.. I will definitely refer your name as well if I chose to build through them though my broker referred me there and I have already mentioned this to the guy I met last week ICK Maniradha10 Hi ICK How has your experience been so far with Profine.
