Hi guys
I recently enquired about having a coffee table custom made. Size 1m x 1m, made out of redgum like this:
And was quoted $1100 PLUS GST.
Is this normal? :S

My Dad makes exactly that sort of thing and could probably do it for a quarter of that. But I guess it comes down to who you know.... If you have to pay that much to get what you want then i guess you have to. I'm a bit spoiled- I just put in an order for furniture and dear Daddy makes it..!! I wish my dad could do that for us! And TimmyD, the top is made from recycled Bluegum (I think, it was a while ago). The legs were from a log I found on the in-laws farm. All up it probably cost about $300ish. With most of it being for the hardwood top. These pics might show better how the cars sit in there.
