Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I am wondering how suited this room is for a home theater style setup? I was thinking of having a setup with a projector that would project down the length of the room and I have been told by the designer/draftsman that the distance between windows 5 and 6 is only 2 meters. Thinking some more about this we would obviously need some pretty good block out blinds to control the light. My other concern is that would the 2 meter width restrict the screen size? (given the room dimensions). At the moment we are still in the plannng stage so there is the possibility to resize/remove the windows Assume for arguments sake, I was thinking along the lines of an Epson TW3000 projector and a fixed/wall mounted screen with a 5.1 setup (wired for 7.1 in the future) Any advice, thoughts comments are most definately appreciated! As far as putting a screen at the window end of the room - you can either go with a roll-down screen (I always recommend motorised), or if you want to mount a fixed screen that's wider than the plaster wall between the windows you can always mount it out from the wall (with blocks or brackets) - Adrian Barber (one of our moderators) has done that, as has Matt in the Selby demo room...
