I think it will take a bit of time for it to sink in. I've been looking at so many other houses being built that im sure it will feel strange to see MY house going up. You sure are lucky to be living so close, id be going there several times a day to see the progress! Looking forward to following your progress, keep the pics coming Parents still waiting for a start. They called their office last week and they were told that they should start at the beg of this week, so they give them a call again yesterday to check on progress to hear that apparently a staff member has left in the estimator department which has pushed back the progress of the paperwork and to not expect anything to happen till the end of the month as a result of this, totally slack i believe. They should not have sounded so sure that something will happen this week if something like this could happen. So i guess the waiting continues.... Re: My C@ventry 33 - Roof trusses are going up as I type 88Apr 17, 2009 2:59 pm What great work. You will be overtaking us very soon if youe builders keep up this speed We found when the windows were installed the house really took shape. Hope he is right Ryan Oliver: Windows are in! Re: My C@ventry 33 - Trusses/windows/sliding doors are done 92Apr 21, 2009 10:36 pm Hey Tillie FINALLY found your thread!! Re: My C@ventry 33 - Trusses/windows/sliding doors are done 95Apr 22, 2009 12:39 pm Thanks Haywgl I just love big windows, just didn't think of the expense to cover them all It was very hard for me who has no fashion sense let alone able to put colours together to choose them, but in Michelle's thread I sought some advice and took a friend in with me who is great with colours The backyard will be 11 metres from the rear of the house to the back fence and 19 metres in width. The dog shall have alot more room than where I am now which is good Thanks Donuts I was thinking of having them Dune as with the guttering but then found out that the builder does not supply that colour, so white birch it was Not much has happened in the past two days I think that I was spoilt with the builders there on a daily basis for the past fortnight However met up with Kevin the building inspector there this morning and hope that he does not fine too much wrong with the build so far Re: My C@ventry 33 - Trusses/windows/sliding doors are done 96Apr 22, 2009 12:41 pm Just realised I have silver stars now Re: My C@ventry 33 - Fascia and guttering on the way 97Apr 24, 2009 10:45 am Well after no work since Monday, other than an inspection I am happy to say that there is a brave man putting up the fascia and guttering here in wet and windy Melbourne Just the fascia which is in Dune on the "dead side" from a nieghbours block as the other sides had not yet been done Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ With the Woodland grey gutters and the sky getting darker... Everything has gone up so quickly too !!! Just wait till the tiles go on, it makes such a difference ! Ours went up last week, we're getting wrapped I think today ready for bricking !! And come to think of it, our roof went on before the windows were delivered and installed.... we must be a bit backwards up here in QLD (being an original Victorian, I think I can get away with that!) lol Well done for the Gutter Guy putting up with the wonderful Melbourne elements !!! lol Building in Brisbane SW Suburbs Started on site with plumbing on 30/3 - Lock up 2/5 - 15/6 Recd Fixing Invoice - 18/6 Painter to start ! I quite like the different colours for these too! I'm wondering if I should have done that too! Gee it wouldn't be much fun installing them today!
