I have been told cheap foam doesn't breath so you get hot when lounging. Could this just be a sales ploy to spend more I love the wooden rests on the King sofa they seem like they would be very useable, like Beebie was saying keeping things out of the way of bubs is good and also to rest my drink on. I am wondering if the wood rests would become annoying or in the way. Re: What is your favourite sofa design. 12Apr 13, 2009 8:21 pm For me it needs to suit a variety of sitting positions. It needs to be able to sit adults next to each other comfortably when you are entertaining, myself stretched out reading a book, me ****** on my side watching tv and me and DH snuggling So this usually means a nice long couch with low/mid height armrests that are wide and slightly rounded. We have a 'Lounge Designs' low line one in our bedroom , which is fabric, and comfy - but I wouldn't have it in a living area. We have Moran leather couches in the family room - nice and square, and really comfortable, but aso good with kids - ie the leather is easy to clean! I loooooooove them! In the HT we have a big, fat leather Moran couch with a chaise longue - great to spread out over! We have just fairly plain sofas in the lounge - microfibre, which, I have to say, wears very well. Upstairs the kids have a huuuge Lounge Designers sofa that is 4.2 m long, and has a chaise at each end. That is soft and comfy, and works really well up there b/c so many people can fit on it, and hang off it!!! So you nearly have a sofa PER person You are right it does depend on the use. I think I am trying to find a sofa that serves so many purposes so I really want to get it right and if it means spending a bit more I think I am prepared for it. I suppose I am trying to work out weather I should be spending money on good foam, good fabric, good soil shield or just find one and see if its going to suit my actual needs rather than all the good stuff that goes into it. It seems its the good stuff that bumps the price up.........but I am one for quality and if the sales people tell me the good stuff will help the sofa last longer in all situations I am thinking of then quality might win. I like your mix of materials for your different areas to suit. Great thinking. Re: What is your favourite sofa design. 15Apr 14, 2009 2:56 pm Actually, there are 7!!!!!! Which is more than 1 per person!! There are 2 in the lounge and 2 in the fam room. Gee..when I write it down it sounds a bit excessive...but they all work well in the space!! I think, if you can, it's worth investing in better quality - that is, if you plan on keeping them for a long time. Of course , if it's just a shorter term thing, don't spend the $$$ !!! I got the 8 foot sac in my HT and its more comfortable than any lounge i have ever sat on. http://www.lovesac.com.au Re: What is your favourite sofa design. 17Apr 15, 2009 10:27 pm WOW!! I'm in sydney and got mine 3 years ago. At that time they had 3 outlets i think now they only have one. If they do ship them interstate it will be worth it trust me. the postage may be quite high as it weighs a tonne. Re: What is your favourite sofa design. 19Apr 16, 2009 5:47 pm There's a place here that sells them, but I can't remember where it is - possiby Chapel St....? I know they had a temp store in Victoria Gardens S/C , opposite Freedom, before Christmas last year.
