Re: Facade colours chosen..nearly at pre start...images attached 8Apr 07, 2009 6:33 pm Hey Becster, The colour is dudlux(was going to edit but I like this spelling ) Warm Neutral and feature is Ploughed Earth. Which I am still to decide on 100%(the feature I mean). Re: Facade colours chosen..nearly at pre start...images attached 10Apr 07, 2009 7:08 pm The colours look great - is the render to the whole facade? I assume it is, since you don't mention bricks.... I guess with the main render colour and a feature colour, plus the limestone, you don't want too much else in there anyway. The portico roof is unusually high - I like it, it almost has a turret-like effect. With the stone and the 'turret', it reminds me a little of a beautiful German castle. Maybe you can put a lake in the backyard. Or at least a bird bath.... I'll shut up now. Re: Facade colours chosen..nearly at pre start...images attached 11Apr 07, 2009 7:14 pm Oh WOW, great colours PK!! Glad you went with the caoba dawn garage door, and I love the limestone render. Cant wait for more colour updates!! I can't wait for more colour updates aswell, now I just need to decide on them Re: Facade colours chosen..nearly at pre start...images attached 13Apr 07, 2009 9:27 pm Hey K, colours look lovely! I love your facade/house pictures it looks great. Nice front doors too Love that style of fencing, very nice. Kek, great picture, how nice is the scenery.......... Happy at Home Re: Facade colours chosen..nearly at pre start...images attached 14Apr 07, 2009 10:05 pm Your house facade and colour selections looks really nice. Well Done. I am still very nervous on mine, and still thinking it may be all wrong .... even after 14 sample pots!! I really like your dark feature colour too. Please keep us posted. Re: Facade colours chosen..nearly at pre start...images attached 15Apr 08, 2009 8:24 am Hi T, We love the fence aswell.....we will only being doing the very front of the house in this type of fence as the $$ don't allow us to do the entire boundry But I am excited about getting it at some point so thats a plus....the rest will be the brick pillars but with colourbond infills. Very happy with the front doors but the upgrade price was a little hefty considering the inclusion was a paint grade door and now there is no painting but they still cost us an extra $550 Davden 14 sample pots all those sample pots could have paid for the dulux colour consultant to come and help you out. I am sure you must be close its not easy. I have always loved the render colour so that was an easy one for me...........the feature was a bit harder Goodluck. Re: Facade colours chosen..nearly at pre start...images attached 16Apr 08, 2009 11:00 am Yes, in hindsight I should have paid for a colour consultant. But we were limited to Solver paints and the solver colours they could do of other paints. A lot of the original colours I liked they did not have the "recipe" for. Something to do with the base type. (And they were from the Dulux range too). Fingers crossed it's all going to work out. What is your expected build time? Re: Facade colours chosen..nearly at pre start...images attached 17Apr 08, 2009 11:07 am Our internal paint will be solver...It has been on our last couple also and we have had no probs at all. Our build time appears from slab down to be 12months with a fit out I think of about another 2 months. I believe thats pretty reasonable and standard for a 2 storey these days. Very happy with the front doors but the upgrade price was a little hefty considering the inclusion was a paint grade door and now there is no painting but they still cost us an extra $550 Hi K, I think having that fence just in the front will be nicer than having it all around. Having the colorbond infills to the sides will give you alot more privacy too and it still sounds really nice Your front doors will be so worth the $$ spent. All up our double entrance doors cost us about $1200, that was upgrading the style, adding translucent glazing and having them stained inside and out. Will yours be stained on the inside or painted? You'll love them Happy at Home Re: Facade colours chosen..nearly at pre start...images attached 19Apr 08, 2009 11:47 am Wow, see as I had never researched doors before I just thought that was pricey but I see its not so pricey now....quite reasonable in fact. We will be staining them....I wanted to add a bit of timber at the front as I love to mix different materials, I still can't believe I am considering the timber garage. I don't know why I just thought I would never have one but I needed to add something timber to go with the front doors as they were a definate want. Oh and I see I managed to not actually answer your question with all that jargon but......I will now Yes we will stain inside aswell....we are having timber floors so that will tie in nicely internally aswell. Hopefully the reality is what the vision is. Re: Facade colours chosen..nearly at pre start...images attached 20Apr 08, 2009 11:59 am House-To-Be Your front doors will be so worth the $$ spent. You'll love them Yep totally agree!!!! The front doors really give your front facade presence! For our double entry door, we changed ths style of the door, the height, had translucent glazing to both doors and sidelights, stained internall & externally and all up it costed us $3k. But I think it will be worth the money as our garage will be timber look and our windows are timber stained.
