For me to get my projector for my theatre, DW insisted she needed a good brand dishwasher..

Got both below for 4k, so I'm pretty happy with that.
Dishwasher is Asko D3132
Projector is Epson TW3000

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for yours? I got mine from http://www.justprojectors.com.au for $2699. I got it for $2500... dishwasher was $1500. I did it on the 22 months interest free at Harvey Norman so I didn't have much room for haggling but still managed to get it down to a reasonable price (knocking $900 off RRP combined) I had cash to pay for it but preferred to keep my cash flow for things like blinds/curtains, landscaping, gates, etc... I set up the PJ last night to test it out and looks amazing.. I just shone it onto my wall which is a cream colour and bluray looks awesome... I also put ESPN HD on and they had NBA replays and looked fantastic... I then put my 50inch plasma back on and it was tiny.. ![]() I was projecting a 93inch image as that is all the space I had during my test. For example, nunawading don't sell any projectors.. Whereas Knox (where I went) have epson and panasonic projectors. I went there to buy the d3122 as per the choice review (Thanks stonecutter)... I didn't realise I was looking at the newer model until I looked at the receipt at home.. I saw the d3132 and didn't realise I was looking at a different model. I hope it works as well as the d3122... ![]() Re: Look what I bought last night..... 14Apr 14, 2009 7:02 pm Hi WBA, Just wondering if you've spent much quality time with the TW3000 yet ? I'm looking at this or the TW4000. I've downloaded the manual and interestingly it's the same manual for both. Obviously the functionality differences are documented throughout the manual, but at first pass there doesn't seem to be a compelling case for spending circa 4 grand on the TW4000 vs 2.5 grand on the TW3000. Especially when I could get the TW3000 and a really good quality screen for the cost of the TW4000 alone........ ![]() This will be my first HT projector experience, so I'll probably be very happy with it anyway. I've only got crappy powerpoint presentations at work to measure it against. The only concern I have - what's the ambient noise from the fan like ? A mate from work reckons projectors are intrusive if you don't have your audio turned up, so I'd really like to hear your opinion/experience on this. Also, is there anywhere you can recommend that has the TW3000 set up on demo ? Cheers, Justin. Also, is there anywhere you can recommend that has the TW3000 set up on demo ? Cheers, Justin. Hey Justin, Firstly I don't think the tw4000 is worth an extra $1500 or so... In the US the difference is only about $500 and then you may not even consider the extra spend. I have only used it a couple of times to test it as I will wait till I'm in my house to set it up properly.. but so far I have been blown away by the image is produces... aparently in theatre black the fan is on low speed and dynamic (brighter for rooms that aren't so dark) it is on high speed.. but even on dynamic I couldn't hear the fan, even if I turned the sound off. ![]() I certainly think it is great value for money.. and I have checked out quite a few projectors... there is only two that I saw that I would say had a noticiable difference and that was the benq w5000 DLP and the JVC HD350 (it was amazing!!) but once again you are probably paying double that of the tw3000. I don't know anywhere that has the tw3000 setup, I just took a punt based on reviews and screen shots I saw.. but I did see a tw2000 set up which is a very similar projector.
