Metricon KDRB designs - Vantage 48 or Franklin 50?

Very confused between these 2 designs from Metricon. Love them both. Cant decide. Both fit on our block and price wise both are similar. Anyone build any of these designs can advise on the pros and cons?

Your best bet might be to go visit the display homes and walk around in them, and take photos. Get a feel for it in person instead of deciding from the floor plan.

There is a Franklin 50 and a Vantage 48 on display in Vic, not sure about the other states.

Built a Vantage here in NSW. Just collected the keys after a 3 yr long KDRB project ! Take a look at my topic.

We looked at a few designs from Metricon & GJ, we specifically wanted high voids & high ceilings..

We liked Vantage as it fills the home with lights.. & our lot is a bit narrower (frontage is 16-17 & rear is 25-27).

COVID back at home.. kept it simple & we moved in.. & yesterday was the first day at our new home..

Few more bits to go - Storm water & Hydraulics was a big gap.. 2 different plumbers, wrong plans, bad job & we now have a pool in the front & side.. Now, they are fixing it. Awaiting compliance report this week. Subsequently will add few more storm pits.

Other than that, few minor misses like, door jams, paint patches, few contract misses including a wrong aircon unit !! few tile chips, etc.. good part is they are owning & running with it.. love the new construction manager, looking after us.

Should be ready for Simeon’s visit in couple of weeks..
