Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Aug 16, 2023 10:11 am Hi, we were asked by our bank to get an independent quantity surveyor to provide a “stage payment based QS reporting” and I had just received a quote back from the QS amounted to $15k exc GST. The breakdown of fees is as below: - initial financier’s report $3300 - progress drawdown report $1450 x 8 = $11600 I am not sure if this is normal in the current building climate. A quick search on this forum I saw other people paying around $500-2500 so I’m just hoping someone on this forum with the knowledge could shed some light on this topic FYI I’m getting more quotes Thanks Re: QS fees for building a new home 2Aug 16, 2023 3:03 pm If you are building ordinary home then progress payments will be triggered by completion of stages as set out in the contract.
