As a result, every wet season when the soil becomes sodden, the water seeps through the bricks and the shed floods. I have started to dig a trench next to the brickwork as shown in the pic. My question is about what to do next. I was thinking a waterproof membrane against the brickwork and then some gravel/ag pipe to get the water away? Any advice appreciated! Dig down to your footings and let the wall dry out. Clean it all well by brushing it off. Paint the wall with bitumen waterproof paint right down and onto the footings. Give it at least 2 good coats making sure you get into the mortar joints. I'd then line the wall with corflute from the footing up to the soil level to give you another layer of moisture resistance. Make sure you overlap the joins and tape them. Then lay your agi pipe on a layer of gravel up against the corflute making sure to connect up to your stormwater and back fill with more gravel. Not sure if there is any extra steps required (that would be more than adequate in WA) but that should provide a decent level of moisture resistance and will last Accessible Carpentry & Cabinets accessiblecarpentry@gmail.com accessiblecarpentry.com.au https://www.facebook.com/pages/Accessible-Carpentry-Cabinets/583314911709039 DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair Turning this into my DIY shed makeover.
