Hello!
We are currently gathering ideas for our extension project for a 1946 built brick home.
There’s one thing that has been hotly debated in the household, which I thought I’d pick the brains of experts here, is that in this modern age, is a lounge room still necessary, or should I convert it to a bedroom? OR, put it this way, will converting it to a bedroom decrease the value of the house when I sell again?
In order to see clearly what I am talking about I’ve attached 2 different plans, as you can see, the main dining/living/playing/tv watching area will be the back extension. I thought then I should convert all existing spaces into bedrooms/bathrooms.
Other things to consider are:
1. The current lounge has the best view of the house and a north-eastly aspect.
2. The lounge has a nice functional fireplace and a nice wooden door
3. I can’t think of a good way to put a king size bed in that room….
Any comments or ideas are MUCH appreciated!!!!
Thank you so much
