The problem with all centralised systems is if a room door is shut the unit doesn't properly heat or cool that room because there is no path for air flow back to the central inlet. A few years ago I bought a 2 bedroom retirement unit with ducted heating. The first thing I did was add a couple of reverse cycle units. . . One in the lounge diner and one in our bedroom. 2 years later we found we hadn't used the ducted heating and removed it! The only additional heating we have is a fan heater for the bathroom The Harder You Try - the Luckier You Get !
