Hi All,
Need advice on what render system I should use for a French provincial style home that has the French cut out lines running all around the facade.
See attached photo samples of what I am referring to with the horizontal lines.
These lines will be created/formed with a trowel from my understanding when the render is wet, however I am told when using Acrylic Texture Finish system it will be very difficult/impossible to create these lines due to the little play area to create the straight lip of the lines.
I am told I would have to go with the non-textured still using Acrylic render but sponge finish for it to be smoother? and then apply a 3-coat paint system as not having the particles inside the textured finish will allow a smoother easier sharper edge.
Can someone advise me if this is true and that it would NOT be possible or easy to create sharp clean edge lines with Acrylic Texture Finish?
We really wanted to Acrylic Texture Finish on the home WITH these render lines.
Which render system is best for this and achievable as I am confused;
1. Acrylic Render + Acrylic Texture Finish + 1 coat Paint
2. Acrylic Render (Sponge Finish) + 3 Coat Paint
Is there much of a price difference between these two options as I need to know if I should be expecting some funds back for either system.
If anyone has some advice to reply, or know some render expert I can discuss this with please that would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
