Hi,
I need to install almost 40kg heavy TV unit in the commercial building. I was thinking to use flip toggle bolt (https://www.bunnings.com.au/tox-m5-flip ... t_p2260712) but after drilling a hole I found out there is about 30-35m gap between concrete wall and gyprock. The toggle bolt requires minimum clearance 50mm.
Options:
1. The TV mount is about 900mm wide and would overlap only two steel studs.
I was wondering if installing MDF panel over the gyprock and secure it with just metal screws (into studs) would be sufficient?
Once MDF installed, TV mount would be screwed on top of MDF.
2. The second option would be to cut gyprock out and install MDF right on the concrete wall. Then put gyprock back, patch the wall and install TV mount with timber screws.
3. Is there any other solution/screws that would help me to avoid using MDF or cutting gyprock?
I would be happy for all suggestions.
