Nobody approached us about anything, so had no idea that wasn't the norm until I saw how awful the bricks looked in the gap. Whether or not they asked our landlord and they said no, I'm not sure. Our relationship with the owner is good, but I'm not sure if I want to impose putting a pole on their property.
