Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement Re: Apartment re-design by removing wall 9Feb 10, 2022 4:50 pm ![]() if the washing machine already functions in the bathroom i would not change that unless you want to renovate the whole bathroom and then i don't think there is any value in adding a bathtub for the very short time that it might be used by your own or any future owners' children.. a plastic baby bath in the bottom of the shower is very functional for small children and a hand held shower is easy to install in an existing shower ... moving the existing toilet is not a cost effective decision just to make room for a tiny bath BUT if/when you are ready to renovate the whole bathroom you might consider a custom cabinet to enclose the washing machine and sink over storage drawers and add deep wide mirror doored wall cabinets and that should leave enough room for a bigger shower.. something like this should be ok but an on site inspection by a plumber would be needed before considering any options Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Yes, full bathroom reno is part of the plan. I'm also thinking about the re-sale value in the future and the idea of catering for a young family who may need/want a bath. Not sure which option would be more suited.
