We havent paid $2k for the tender yet so still early stages! We're pretty set on Fowler homes because they have our ideal floor plan without spending an arm and a leg, but they haven't given us a lot of discounts so we're inquiring else where and coming back to Fowler to see if they can price match lol. Oh no.. that doesn't sound good at all. Are they getting all the variations wrong? Re: Building with fowler homes 53Nov 30, 2021 11:18 pm Mikaela3105 Hey Mikaela3105, have you progressed at all? We have completed all appointments (awaiting quotes from kitchen and internals). DA approval has been granted but nothing can happen until all quotes are received and drafting draws up the construction plans. Without getting myself in trouble, I am sick of the constant errors in everything and have requested to speak to someone higher up as I’m ready to pull out of the entire thing.[/quote] That’s no good, I hope they sort it out for you. Do you think it is just the person you are dealing with? Or the draftsmen? Re: Building with fowler homes 54Jan 17, 2022 6:08 pm MNT91 Mikaela3105 Hey Mikaela3105, have you progressed at all? We have come to a halt with progress as well. How did you go with speaking to someone higher up? Re: Building with fowler homes 57Feb 04, 2023 9:25 pm Sam B6 HA_IP Looks like this thread got no update for over a year, anyone still building with them? We are! Just started construction! No slab yet…. Which design r u after? also I wanted to check when they say Fixed price contract - does it include all site cost like stormwater connection, drop edge beam etc... I am only at very beginning, 2k paid to survey, soil test. High level they guided 15k Hydraulic construction Including stormwater and drainage works, 30k for Drop edge beam, import fill. I have ~0.5 slope. Any idea how much these change afterwards or are these part of Fixed price Re: Building with fowler homes 58Feb 05, 2023 11:10 am HA_IP Sam B6 HA_IP Looks like this thread got no update for over a year, anyone still building with them? Some things in the tender will say ‘provision for’ and that means the price could change after they do all the proper surveys etc. have to say ours was pretty much swings and roundabouts on provisions. That is, some were under and some were over. Fowler have pretty good with giving credits when they full costs come in under the amount provided in the contract. Just read your tender and contract closely to see what is included. Re: Building with fowler homes 59Feb 13, 2023 8:36 am We are building with them. We signed up June 2021. We have completed demo and just waiting for them to give us next steps. They do not move quickly, that I can confirm. There is a lot of chasing up and vague answers to questions - very non-commital. Here's hoping things start going smoother Re: Building with fowler homes 60Feb 13, 2023 8:56 am StuK We are building with them. We signed up June 2021. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending. All their existing trades and businesses don't work with… 14 108344 Anyone built with Fowler Homes? Feedback? Especially any things concerning or negatives? Have heard some horror… 0 9492 Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 77709 |
