Re: Building with timber’s upstairs! HELP! 18Oct 01, 2021 7:14 am HA..You've conveniently left out the structural components, LOL is that by artistic Bim design, but that's OK Since you're talking about base materials only here Concrete Slab (2c) $300m3/5.8m = $50m2 Most Battlers are getting tired of having to pay for a tender price and then getting slugged/ served up an extra $50K when the engineering, final drawings are completed.. don't you think that's a little underhanded? This engineer is taking offence, with your inability to be up front and estimate jobs properly OT...Society trusts engineers data/proof.... HELP! 19Oct 01, 2021 10:43 am Ashington Homes I can only quote Sydney prices so here is the comparison between each option ( approximate): 1. Single layer of yellowtongue - $40/sqm 2. Double Layer of yellow tongue - $80/sqm 3. 75mm Hebel - $80-90/sqm 4. Suspended Concrete $400/sqm roughly I cant see why you couldnt get Hebel in WA, its made by CSR who are a pretty damn big Aussie company. I hope this helps a little Cheers Simeon Hi Simeon, you should probably be also including cost of timber framing (floor joists) when calculating items 1-3 side by side with item 4? Re: Building with timber’s upstairs! HELP! 20Oct 01, 2021 3:58 pm Hey alex79 You don't get those costings, until the clients pays the Builder $15K at PPA Stage and the engineering is forthcoming According to the Macreamy Bim curve at the intersection of 3D Artistic presentation/rendering & 2D Engineering hth Designer,Engineer (Civil,Const & Envir),Builder,Concrete & Masonry Contract.Struct Repairs I have a home gym at home. It weights 150KG including the weight stack. I'm a big boy, around 150KG myself. I was thinking about moving it up stairs to the second… 0 6284 Engineering timber is certainly a less fuss option, times cheaper to supply and install and better withstands humidity. 1 15884 Thanks Pulse, thats really helpful and very much appreciated.
