It's a 30sq house with split level design on a sloped block. We were initially quoted $40k extra site costs (above house package included costs), this has just been bumped up to $60k and another $60k allowance for rock cutting and removal. The houses being built in the area have massive rock excavations. They say the rock cutting/removal allowance is the worse case scenario and will hopefully be less. What are the chances we will see a discount even if the costs are much lower? Is it likely any real savings by them will magically be absorbed into extra profit? I'm sure some builders are more honest than others, but has anyone ever seen a refund from a builder? I don't have exact numbers on how much soil/rock needs to be excavated, but is this site cost number realistic? Thanks in advance Hi I have developed a spreadsheet to calculate rock excavation and bulking costs for our business as rock is one of teh hardest items to calculate and we got it wrong a few times. if your'e interested PM and I will email it to you. Obviously the variables will be the hourly rate and carting costs in your area but if you know the area and depth of the area to be excavated it will give you a good guide. cheers S Hello I am interested in this spreadsheet, can you send it to me please Re: $120k site costs in Diamond Creek 5Sep 10, 2021 11:00 am You need the 3D Bim, engineering data and proofs first then you can link the SI Units and cost into the spreadsheet using on line apps LOL builder just can tell you anything... you then need to check all the data Designer,Engineer (Civil,Const & Envir),Builder,Concrete & Masonry Contract.Struct Repairs 1 16752 Henley should give you some indication of site costs. Too many variable to give you any reasonable accuracy 1 2398 Looking to tile the facade pillars rather than rendering. Builder is quoting 2500$ laying cost for upto 10msq. The 2 pillars come to be 16msq. So laying costs are 5000$… 0 8920 |
