Anyone aware if Title identification survey and pegging is the responsibility of builder Or owner if nothing mentioned in the contract?
Thanks a lot

Thanks a lot Reza Welcome to the forum ! I am pretty much sure as per HIA contract or even builder tender document it would have a description that the land should be clearly identified I.e. survey pegs etc. normally the builders will keep a pc sum for Te survey and if they find the pegs then they will return the pc sum. Is this for new build ? Did you clarify this with builder ? Cheers ! Re: Boundary survey 3Aug 08, 2021 9:15 am Thanks Ozshaz, Its an old house with renovations and building an extra double story in Brisbane. The builder engaged a surveyor and has the boundary information however he asked me to pay$1200 to surveyor to put pegg as well .their reason is the fence between my property and neighbours is around 1300 to 3000 mm inside my property . Congrats for the construction ! I think I have seen builder charging around $900- $1300 for the survey which includes the pegs. Its good that they found the issues with the boundary. I am not sure how long that fence has been in existence but may be you can request the neighbour to reconsider it. This means for builder they have to set the site dimensions based on the new dimensions ?? Cheers ! Thanks a lot Reza Big builders often have the site cost component (to be paid by owner) including a re-establishment survey if there are misplaced pegs. ask the surveyor for clarification would be the logical approach 1 15971 A survey must’ve completed by a certified surveyor.
