But long story short with the current issue....we signed contract in Jan. Site start March 4. Delayed for two months due to VicRoads not approving our traffic management plan and TA not wanting to push them for a response. A traffic management item we are paying $18k for. We finally got approval last week, but now we wait for concreters to get sorted.
TA have also advised that they wish to enact a clause in the contract to extend the contract build time due to the VicRoads issue.
Oh. And (although they both seem lovely and good so far), both our building coordinator and site supervisor have been with TA for less than 3 months.
So fun times all around....
Oh gosh, it really is a long drawn out process. What frustrating hurdles you've encountered. It almost feels like every build has some kind of hurdle along the way that either costs time or money. Im slightly nervous about what ours might be once we get to site.
Our initial coordinator left mid process but the coordinator we now have is more knowledgeable, thorough and responsive so the change worked in our favour.
We really have had to be on the ball checking and rechecking every single detail in the process and sometimes having to push things that 'haven't been possible' but with a little research and a nudge are in fact possible.
I hope its smooth sailing for you once that slab goes down!
