We had a company dump 2 piles of dirt on each side once we finally got the company to remove it, on the day of putting up the fence another builder on the corner dumped their foam packs. Thursday it was finally removed so the build will now start next week! Finally Re: Haymes Grey 5May 01, 2021 12:15 pm Countrybuilds How is your build going cupcake2021? We were so paranoid about dumping before our build but luckily everything that was dumped or blew on was small enough to pick up and dump it back to its owners. Very exciting you are starting now though, it is good when you start to see something finally happen. We are at the slow end now, just waiting on trades to do fit out. Have to love paying rent and mortgage and seeing the build sit there for days on end. But not much longer I guess. Oh, and I love that colour grey. Have they given you a timeline with the tradies? Our rep has been terrific so far. How has your supervisor and customer service representative been? How has your supervisor and customer service representative been? There are no timelines on anything, especially when it comes to tradies. I guess they are relying on other people and other jobs and it gets too complicated which I understand. Do you have any sort of indication of time? The CRC and SS have been great, really good communicators, experienced and working extremely hard. How are you feeling about your gallery choices? Ha ha I keep looking at every passing house to see what our bricks would possibly look like on our house because they are the new Austral Domain sanctuary bricks with hawthorn pillars. Today, I was double cchecking if the grey cladding was the right choice. Not that we can change it now. L o l You? Re: Haymes Grey 10May 02, 2021 8:32 am Same. Totally the same. I can tell you every house in my estate with the same brick and mortar colour as us! Glad its not just me. Our final render colour isn't on yet and it's torture waiting to see if it is the right choice. Your brick choice sounds exciting! Have you seen the cladding colour somewhere? I think the render choice would have to be one of the hardest because it seems like everyone has a different render colour. So, I completely understand how you would be feeling at the moment. During our colour selection, I couldn't decide on a render colour. It was driving me crazy. Then I walked passed an old Simonds display home near work and loved everything about it. We changed the render to brick. It cost $452 extra, but I am happy with it. 24 Woodward way Caroline Springs is the old display home. We have the same balcony and pillars as it, but we have grey cladding on the side and a grey roof. They don't stock that roof tile colour anymore and there was no record of the display colours so we couldn't match it. Is your kitchen up yet? What render colour did you pick? That upgrade price isn't too bad, it cost us a couple of grand to add render to the front of ours. The colour I chose is 'spatial' and looks completely different in different light so if its wrong I am going to be very, very sad. Kitchen is done apart from floor, appliances and pantry fit out. Lucky to love all of our tile and cabinetry choices so far. Make sure to check all of your colour choices as you go along! Re: Haymes Grey 14Jul 26, 2021 2:38 pm Hi Cupcake, Yes, its all done now and we are in! I will take some photos of our cladding if you like. We have Greyology 1 on our gable and Surfmist on our main cladding. If you are wanting to change your colour I would suggest doing everything you can to convince your CRC to change it in your contract now. It is such a pain to do things post-handover and hard to get trades. And you will probably just want most things done. There is no reason why they can't update your colour selection doc at this stage. Otherwise, don't get it painted as I would imagine the white will have a grey undertone and you won't like it anyway? Countrybuilds I wanted to change the weatherboard colour, but they wouldn't let us. Do you have any regrets? Do you have any regrets?[/quote:xxxzlgbd] Oh, I'm sorry they wouldn't let you change. I was worried about our render but the colour turned out well. I am happy with all of my colours really. They painted our post incorrectly but I didn't point it out as I liked it better than what I chose! There are a few things I would have done if I had a higher budget, but the reality is I didn't! I would have fit a study in if I had known working from home was going to go on forever, and an extra powder room. I also would have got the stone extended in the laundry and more overheads. But I am happy with what we ended up with. Apart from your weatherboards how are you with your choices?
