We have had to do that with a tap and a downlight, we just got an invoice no. and any relevant info from jgking then contacted the supplier ourselves. Much quicker and absolutely no drama, they just sent new items. Good to hear you are still getting some level of service from Metricon. Despite always being nothing but pleasant we seem to have got ourselves blacklisted from the jgking maintenance department. We have a roof that leaks. We have called and left multiple messages on numerous occasions and we get complete radio silence. I honestly couldnt be bothered, the leak was so bad it had to be replaced immediately. In hindsight I should have taken it into Reece plumbing myself but oh well. I noticed the new one is a redesign so probably issues. That sucks. It's taken me months to get them to front up again but at least the guy I've been dealing with is reasonable to work with. Is there any way you can escalate? We're really not sure who to call. Half the office left and went to a new builder a while after our build. We probably should try just walking into the office, harder to ignore us to our faces. I have considered leaving a review, people seem to get attention that way, but even after 3 years I'm not sure I'm ready to revisit the trauma. We think the silence started after they fixed the first roof leak and we pointed out the area of leak was still missing a 15cm wide, room length, piece of insulation despite the insulation already being "fixed" 3 times. Re: Metricon Winchester 28- Landscaping 1429Feb 25, 2021 2:52 pm blackcat20 What a trip down memory lane rereading this whole thread! Feeling quite nostalgic as we're expecting baby #2 next month. Had M back in a few weeks back to chase up the last few things; creaking step still hasnt been fixed as the tradie never showed up last year. Also having Southern Star come in to fix our windows, all the winder covers have split and some of our windows no longer open. The shower head in our ensuite split open but M declined to cover it saying it was out of warranty. I'm not convinced as the brand has a 15 year warranty, but it was quicker to buy and install a new hand piece myself. Your post reminds me that we need to chase Metricon on our list of items too, that they never addressed last year... Garage door, Kitchen bench Grout colour Couple of cracked tiles A loose brick or two Our Bayside KDR Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78298 Re: Metricon Winchester 28- Landscaping 1430May 23, 2021 4:55 pm Our little Miss is now a big sister to baby boy who arrived mid-March And we finally got that creaking step fixed. All the broken window winders were fixed too, and we were given spares. Apparently they had a bad batch. Currently in the process of having solar panels installed, that should be finished tomorrow. And currently contemplating getting a few cupboards fitted out differently. The wardrobe in the Miss' bedroom drives me nuts, as does the broom cupboard. The shelf is about a cm too low for my ironing board, and the rest is just useless space (no rail etc) so junk just gets piled up. I'm thinking of having it divided in half so there is a tall side for the ironing board/dyson, and shelves for other bits and bobs that are currently stored in there. In her room I'd like some shelving built into the wardrobe to make it more usable. Our Actron system, had been really reliable (touch wood) with only one sensor dying after 2 and a bit years, and still under manufacturers warranty. Didn't even go through Metricon, Actron just logged in remotely, confirmed the dead part and replaced it the next day Our Bayside KDR Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78298 Re: Metricon Winchester 28- Landscaping 1435Mar 16, 2022 8:20 am Drew01 blackcat20 We're back on the warranty train as our aircon died (again) over the weekend. Didn't even go through Metricon, Actron just logged in remotely, confirmed the dead part and replaced it the next day Ours has pretty much had all its parts replaced. It was dead on handover day.... Apparently there was a faulty batch of something so that wasn't a great start. Current issue appears to be a motor fault. We had it serviced before summer too.... Re: Metricon Winchester 28- Landscaping 1436Apr 04, 2023 2:00 pm Surprise surprise our aircon died again at the start of the year. I'm wondering if we can push for a full replacement at this point. We've also been without a shower since January, it started leaking through the ceiling below. It took about 6 weeks to get a service person out and another 7 with multiple phone calls for them to actually send the plumber. Here's hoping its something simple. Re: Metricon Winchester 28- Landscaping 1437Apr 12, 2023 2:27 pm That is so bad blackcat20 ! Our main bathroom shower had to be completely replaced as it was leaking through lounge ceiling. It only got picked up last year as it was the kids bathroom and the shower wasn't used everyday. It had been leaking since day 1. First they tried to re-grout the shower floor, then after it continued to leak, they had to rip it all out and replace everything. But it never took as long as it has for you.... what a pain Re: Metricon Winchester 28- Landscaping 1438Apr 12, 2023 2:38 pm [quote="shokel1975"]That is so bad blackcat20 ! Ah sounds similar to ours. The kids are only little so don't use it often and it only became apparent over summer. The plumber cut a hole in the dining roof and unfortunately found that it is the collar around the drain that is cracked. So they will have to rip the tiles up and replace it from in the shower rather than from underneath. Waiting to hear from someone....this is just taking forever. Re: Metricon Winchester 28- Landscaping 1439Apr 12, 2023 2:53 pm yep - very similar to us.... it was an issue with the drain leaking. Good luck - it is such a pain going through plumbing refits!
